SPACE provides for both parents and infants with its unique programme. It has four key objectives.
Increase participation of children in early childhood education at an early age, provide a quality curriculum, and maximise children's learning from birth.
Ease the transition to parenthood; assist parents in their role as the best and most important educators of their children; and help parents to recognise, support, and extend their child's learning and development.
Provide parents with support and encouragement from one another and from experienced facilitators, as they share the journey through their child's early months.
Give parents an opportunity to hear from, and develop links with, a range of community organisations and service providers.
